God, if you would only do this one thing.....

Have you ever found yourself begging God for a miracle or yearning for a "sign" from God? If you aren't a Christian, have you ever told God that, if he'd just show you a miracle then you'd believe in him? Maybe you've seen an opportunity that if God would just do "this" or "that" then everything would be as it should be. You see it in the movies, you see it in everyday life and you see it throughout the Bible. Our human nature is to only see our "piece of the pie" or our window to the world and to feel that if only that one thing would happen, it would be so much easier to believe. But the Bible teaches us that this is not a right attitude. Our focus should not be on ourselves. This life we live is not for us - its for the Lord. The job you do, the ministry you have, the family you lead, the kids you raise...its all the Lord's. Come join us this Sunday night as we move into the second chapter of John and read through the first miracle that Jesus performed - turning water into wine. Come learn about Mary and the first disciples and how this first seemingly "minor" miracle, opened the door to some incredible spiritual truths about ourselves! I look forward to seeing you all there!

Wow, thanks for your support to those who came out with the condition that the streets were in. I hope you were blessed by the lesson. I certainly was blessed in the preparation for it and in seeing your dedication. For those who didn't care to dare the streets it is understandable. Take a listen to the mp3 and all give us some comments, that is a great way for us to get better.

Lets talk John the Baptist

If you get a picture of a wild eyed freak when someone mentions John the Baptist, then I would like to challenge that image. In Matthew 11:11 Jesus tells us that John the Baptist is the most honored of all born of women. That is pretty much everyone. John really knew his purpose and was committed to it, what an inspiration. I wish we had more information about how he lived his life.

I am excited to finish off John Chapter 1 and hear what Kylan has prepared for next week. I am also excited to see each of you next week. I think it is so cool that we have a bond, you and I, and that is Christ.

So much of life is spent doing things that won't live past today. Our study and our learning of who God is and his Word will have impacts for eternity.

SNT is designed to give people the opportunity to be taught the Bible in a way that is meaningful, exciting, motivating and most importantly Spirit-Filled. We meet every Sunday night at 6:30 PM starting on January 20th, 2008. This site was created to facilitate the transfer of information, notes, resources, links and other things that come out of the teaching each Sunday night. Our hope is that this site can become another resource for you to grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus Christ and to help increase your knowledge of the Bible and of Jesus.
